Here's a link to a group called the Goat Rodeo. Some of my favorite artists combined into one group creating beautiful music!

Valentines Work of Art
Roses and Sparkles! You've seen this ribbon before and now it's being incorporated into my Valentine's Day piece. Here is the beginning of a very detailed bracelet by Helen & Floyd's!
Knitting Group
I love knitting group, however I don't knit! Knitting group is where Helen and Floyd's evolved and I still love going every Tuesday night to see my friend's and bead. Many lovely ladies come and we all grab a cup of coffee or dinner and then the chatter starts, the needles start clicking and the heads start rolling... just joking. If you don't understand my alliteration google "knitting and heads rolling". ;) This week I finished up a few bracelet's for a Valentine's Open House night at Even a Spare on January 10th. Last week one of my dear friend's Joy who I met at knitting group made me a beautiful pair of fingerless mittens that have become greatly used at work by all. They are green and just beautifully knitted together.
Here is a picture of some of the girls knitting! All ages are welcome!
Cindy is trading me bracelets for leg warmers that she designed for me. These are the beginning of my leg warmers with her own pattern. I'm excited to trade product for such a beautiful work!

Lova
I've posted Lova before, but she is finally for sale at the Clothing Warehouse! Lova was one of my Great Grandmother Nola Allen's, 11 sisters. I never met her but love the name! Maybe I can scrounge up a picture. Requardless, this bracelet is one of my favorites. I definitely bonded with it since it took me about 22 hours to bead. I made a yellow one very similar to it and sold her to Barb Blair owner of Knack Studios.( http://knackstudios.blogspot.com/ ) (Check out her awesome work!) I met Barb while beading at knitting group... figure that one out, and we struck up conversation about her studio and my beading... at knitting group! Her sweet grandmother bought her my "Barb Bracelet" for Christmas and also sent me lace and ribbon to use! How thoughtful and precious was that?
Helen DNA
Best Seller Helen! This bracelet is named the Helen bracelet. It is my best seller and I constantly have people asking me to make them one. I really want to stay away from duplicating bracelets exactly so I switch up the colors and pattern a little bit everytime. Regardless they all have the same genetic make-up and are in the official "Helen Collection". The Helen Bracelet contains lace from Helen's stash, ribbon from left-over stationary ribbon, and various beads. As always they are backed with vintage lace to complete the look. I adore this bracelet personally and need to own one for myself! Helen is currently for sale at The Clothing Warehouse in downtown, Greenville.
Ollie DNA
Hello! This is Ollie! Ollie was one of my great-grandmother Allen's sister. That is, one of her 11 sisters! I never met "Great-Aunt Ollie" but my grandmother tells me she was a hoot! The lace from this bracelet came from Helen's stash, and the ribbon came from some left overs of a stationary collection that I repurposed! Perfect for a Valentine's Day gift!
Edna DNA
Hello! This is Edna. Edna was my grandfather on my dad's side's sister. She was quite the beautiful lady back in the day, I hear, and I remember visiting her in Ohio and hearing great stories from her. The button used in the very center of this bracelet was part of Helen's collection. It's beautiful and is very special to me, but I was willing to part with it. The contrast of yellow, black and teal has had many people asking what I'm selling it for. I honestly wasn't even planning on selling it, but Catherine my sister encouraged me to do so. It's so exciting to me to see how different people have different tastes and I was shocked to see the large number of people that grabbed Edna right away and wanted to take her home. I dropped her off at The Clothing Warehouse a few hours ago and am very curious to see who buys her.
Clothing Warehouse!
Just dropped off my bracelets at The Clothing Warehouse downtown with Jamy the owner. Had a nice talk with him and am really excited! TCW is my second store to carry my bracelets and once again I get to start over on my inventory! SO HARD TO DO! Yet, so incredibly encouraging. :) I have a correction to make about my last blogpost. The bracelet's name is actually Della. I am trying to name all of my bracelets with family names. Both sides of my family have had tons of girls with very unique names hence the older names on my bracelets. The artist for the bracelet was Catherine, my sister. When I took it in to the store everyone marveled at how beautiful it was. I told you Catherine!!
The Catherine Bracelet DNA
Goodmorning! It's a warm rainy day here in Greenville, South Carolina and I'm finishing up a load of Helen & Floyd's bracelets to take to Clothing Warehouse Downtown Greenville, on Main Street. I met Jamie, the owner, while working at New York and Company. After he admired the vintage look of Helen & Floyd's and heard the whole saga of the salvaged lace, ribbon... etc., he asked me to bring them down to the shop and work out a deal with them down there. (I'll letchya know how it goes.)
Most of these bracelets have very unique stories behind the products used to make them, which gives them a beautiful, sweet nature. I may never know if the individual purchasing H&F knows the story behind their bracelet unless they read my blog, but it is my high hopes that they find out so they might have their own little story to tell!
Last night I finished up the Catherine Bracelet, which was a dual effort between my sister Catherine, and I. This lovely bracelet's DNA is made up of my grandmother, Helen's lace, a repurposed beaded prom dress from a thrift store, vintage thread from Helen's stash, stitched together with vintage needles!

The Little things....
I am a part of a knitting group that meets in Greer. I don't knit but they are pretty accepting of my beading! Its a very diverse group of ladies and I make sure I'm there faithfully every week! Anyhow... this week I brought my sister who has been an amazing help to Helen & Floyd's through advice, artistry, ideas, and labor! In fact, she should probably get most of the attention for all the progress that H&F has made recently. The ladies all enjoyed her so hopefully she'll be coming back with me!
Since they are green I thought I'd pair them up with my green bracelet to let you see my tags that I've made for Helen & Floyd's. I'm working on a better logo and a business card, but all good things come in time!
Tonight a lady who comes, walked in and handed me a beautiful pair of fingerless gloves that she made me. They are sooo beautiful and completely made my day! As an employer of Starbucks coffee shop I work drive-through and these gloves will definitely be getting some mileage on these bone-chilling mornings we've been having!
